New emissions reduction plans for three communities
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – Muscoy, near San Bernardino, is among three Southern California communities approved for local emissions reduction programs by the California Air Resources Board (ARB).

Specifically, the plan will help protect the health of residents by clamping down on emissions from heavy traffic around rail yards, warehouses and ports.

In Muscoy, there will be air monitoring of concrete batch and asphalt plants and air filtration at schools and quarterly idling sweeps for neighborhood truck traffic.

Also approved:
• Wilmington, Carson, West Long Beach Community
• East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, West Commerce Community
