Unspent funds will pay for I-15 ‘hot spot’ fix
CORONA – (INT) – Plans have been announced to fix a traffic ‘hot spot’ on the I-15.

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) has approved construction of an additional, general purpose southbound lane between Cajalco Road and Weirick Road.

The RCTC says an additional, non-toll lane will be needed once the 15 Express Lanes open and narrows from five lanes to three southbound lanes.

Two-thirds of the $38.3 million cost will be covered with unspent funds from the 15 Express Lanes Project.
