COVID-19 deaths reach grim mark, elderly men hard hit
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The number of deaths in San Bernardino County attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic reached 1,021 Sunday.

The gain of 23 was the most for a single day in nearly three months.

More than half of the fatalities are men over the age of 70. The most of all fatal cases were Latinos.

Total covonavirus infections in the county since the pandemic struck last March is nearing 60,000.

The county has remained in the purple tier, indicating that the virus is widespread.
