Formaldehyde found in some home decorations
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – TJX Companies, the well-known retailer that operates TX Maxx, HomeGoods and Marshalls, has been caught selling items that contain formaldehyde.

The State Air Resources board has reached a settlement in which TJX will pay $193,507.

The products in question included unlabeled home décor and furnishings that exceeded emissions limits for formaldehyde in composite wood products. They included wall decorations, shelving, tables and other products.
