TapouT clothing founder killed NEWPORT BEACH--Orange County authorities say a man killed Wednesday in a spectacular crash on Jamboree Road was Charles “Mask” Lewis, a former San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy.
Lewis, 45, was a mixed martial arts fighter who co-founded Inland Empire-based TapouT clothing. Investigators say that Lewis was riding in a red Ferrari alongside a Porsche when it sideswiped a curb and hit a light pole ripping the sports car in half. The Porsche fled, but the driver, Jeffrey Kirby, 51, of Costa Mesa was later found and arrested. Story Date: March 13, 2009
