Murder charge sought in Adenhart's death
FULLERTON--Police investigating the crash that killed Angels’ pitcher Nick Adenhart may seek a murder charge against the Inland Empire man who caused it.

Andrew Gallo, 22, escaped with minor injuries. A passenger in his mini-van, Raymond Alexander Rivera, 21, of Corona, was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Gallo was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving, felony hit and run, and vehicular manslaughter.

Hospital tests indicated that Gallo had a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of .08, police said.

Gallo was driving on a suspended license after a previous drunken-driving conviction. Court records from Riverside County indicate that he was also convicted in 2005 of driving without a license.

Adenhart played for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2006.
