SACRAMENTO--A $50,000 reward has been posted for information that will solve the murders of three people in their San Jacinto Mountains home.

The money comes through Governor Schwarzenegger’s reward program.

It applies to the deaths of John Hayward, his long-time girlfriend Vickie Friedli and her 18-year-old daughter, Rebecca, one September night in 2006.

They were killed and their Pinyon Pines home was deliberately set on fire.

Investigators discounted a murder-suicide, but never determined a motive.

Riverside County Sheriff Stanley Sniff requested the reward which will not expire and will be paid only upon conviction of the accused.
