Swine flu deals out deadly results
SOUTHLAND--The deaths of two middle-aged adults, one each in San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties, are the first in California attributed to Swine flu.

Both had pre-existing medical conditions.

Statewide, 802 individuals have been stricken with the H1N1 flu, including 114 in San Bernardino County.

Health Officer Dr. Maxwell Ohikhuare says the worst is over for this flu season.

“Having said that, whether or not the virus will reappear this fall is unknown. Viruses mutate and there’s a possibility this one could.”

There is no vaccine to protect against Swine flu.
